Sumner Perera is an accomplished actress and vocalist, having performed in the 2017 New York Musical Festival (United We Stand), the 2017 Summer SheNYC Arts Festival (The Human Incubator), five Harvard Radcliffe Dramatic Club (HRDC) theater productions, and over twelve theater productions prior to college at the Garage Theater Group and the Bergen County Academies. She has appeared in The Interval (“Women of NYMF 2017”), was featured on the cover of 201 Family Magazine (April 2014 issue) and was nominated in 2013 for a Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role. Sumner graduated from Harvard University in 2019, majoring in Molecular & Cellular Biology and minoring in Theater, Dance & Media. Sumner has performed a solo vocal jazz concert on campus (“500 Days of Sumner”), opened for the Harvard Undergraduate Drummers (THUD), and performed for several events at Pforzheimer House. Most recently, Sumner studied classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) in London for two months this summer as a student in their 8 Week Shakespeare Summer School.
